NOVEMBER 27, 1967: MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR

The Beatles’ Magical Mystery Tour record serves as the soundtrack to their film of the same name.

The set includes the classic songs “Strawberry Fields Forever”, “Penny Lane”, “I Am the Walrus” and the title track.

It was the Beatles’ eighth straight album to go to #1 in the US.

NOVEMBER 27, 1970: ALL THINGS MUST PASS
George Harrison’s 3 LP third solo album was his first since the Beatles officially broke up.

The album features many songs dating back to ’66 and either went unused or were “rejected” by the Beatles, including:

“Isn’t It a Pity”, “All Things Must Pass”, “Hear Me Lord”, “Let It Down” and “Art of Dying”.

All Things Must Pass would spend 7 straight weeks at #1, on its way to going 6x Platinum.

NOVEMBER 28, 2020: AC/DC’s POWER UP IS #1
With the return of vocalist Brian Johnson, AC/DC released their highly anticipated 17th album, Power Up.

Power Up went to #1 in many nations all over the world, including the United States.

NOVEMBER 29, 1988: GUNS ‘N ROSES RELEASE G N’ R LIES

Guns N’ Roses’ second album, GN’R Lies is comprised of previously released “faux-live” tracks on side one, and acoustic songs on side two.

Containing the top 5 single “Patience”, the album peaked at #2 in the US and sold over 5 million copies.

NOVEMBER 30, 1979: PINK FLOYD’S THE WALL
Pink Floyd’s epic double album, The Wall, is one of the most popular and successful concept albums & rock operas of all time.

It spent 15 straight weeks at #1 at the beginning of 1980.

With 30 million copies sold worldwide, it remains Pink Floyd’s biggest album behind The Dark Side of the Moon.

DECEMBER 1, 1978: DOOBIE BROTHERS’ MINUTE BY MINUTE

The Doobie Brothers’ eighth LP, Minute By Minute, remains their biggest album.

The 3x Platinum album contains “Minute by Minute” and the #1 single “What a Fool Believes.”
