OCTOBER 29, 1971: DUANE ALLMAN DIES
Allman was thrown from his speeding Harley-Davidson after coming upon a stopped flatbed truck.

His bike landed on top of him and pinned him to the ground as he skidded 90 feet.

He died several hours later at the hospital.

OCTOBER 30, 1999: SUPERNATURAL TOPS CHARTS
Supernatural was a big hit for Santana thanks to a lineup of star guest vocalists and the massive single, \”Smooth\”.

It was the band\’s first chart-topping album in 28 years.

OCTOBER 30, 1998: BLACK SABBATH ON LETTERMAN
Black Sabbath reunited for a one-off performance on The Late Show With David Letterman.

It was the original lineup\’s first national TV appearance in 22 years

NOVEMBER 1, 1968: GEORGE HARRISON GOES SOLO
By releasing Wonderwall Music in 1968, George Harrison became the first solo album by a Beatle.

The album served as the soundtrack to the movie Wonderwall, starring Jane Birkin.
