Minneapolis, MN
Minnesota National Guard

I have served in the Minnesota National Guard for over 27 years and have deployed once in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. My deployment was during the surge, between 2007 and 2008, and I was an engine mechanic on Blackhawks for D co, 2-147th AHB out of St Paul, MN.

Since my deployment, I lost over 50 pounds and was motivated to become a Signal Warrant Officer in the Minnesota National Guard in 2012. My current position is with B co, 34th ID, as the Sustainment Automation Systems Management Officer (SASMO). I also work full time as a Federal Technician. I am the database administrator for one of the state’s Aviation Maintenance Facilities for the past 3 years.
