Favorite bands/artists: No hesitation, my number one all time favorite is Nirvana. Green Day, Pixies, Soundgarden, Weezer (just the Blue Album and Pinkerton) and Beastie Boys are all top notch, too.
First concert: The Offspring at First Avenue right after “Ixnay on the Hombre” came out. I still have the hard ticket!
First album ever purchased: Green Day’s Dookie on CD, it had the brown CD tray with Ernie on the back (if you know, you know). STILL hanging on to that too, even though it’s too scratched up to play.
Favorite MN concert venue: I really like The Armory, even when it’s sold out I can usually find a good spot on the floor plus at least one bartender is free at all times.
One show or streaming series that is a MUST watch: ARCHER!! Really obscure historical and illicit drug references, plenty of raunchy jokes and an ocelot.
Movie you could never get sick of watching: The Big Lebowski. The Dude abides.
What topic(s) would you crush at trivia night: 90s Sitcoms, Vinyl Record Care, Why My Light Lager is Better Than Your Silly Hazy IPA.
Name a game you are “above average” at playing: Stacking the clean dishes on the dish rack (it seems like a game).
Favorite local sports team: tWINs (the world “local” was strategically added by our content manager to prevent me from saying Detroit Lions)
Any hidden talents or party tricks: Throw a party and find out…
Favorite meal: If I am cooking, burgers on the grill if someone else is cooking make be a big fat burrito
Most famous person you’ve ever met: WALLY THE BEER MAN!!!! It was as delightful as I imagined. Even at 88, he was super sharp, told hilarious stories and shared really great advice. When I asked him his favorite beer, he quipped “the one that someone else is buying for me.” I steal that line often.
