AUDIOSLAVE – OUT OF EXILE (VINYL REISSUE)
Released in 2005, Out of Exile gave Audioslave (one of the best supergroups of the 90s) their only album to debut at the number one spot. The band sounds tighter, more focused, and more confident than on their debut, with Tom Morello’s riffs cutting through Chris Cornell’s soaring vocals in all the right ways. This is a collector’s edition reissue, remastered 2LP with a limited edition liquid vinyl.

MIKE CAMPBELL & THE DIRTY KNOBS – MISSION OF MERCY
Mike Campbell has nothing left to prove, which might be why Mission of Mercy feels so relaxed and confident. The longtime Tom Petty collaborator leans into what he knows: warm, guitar‑driven rock here. And see them in town July 7th, when they perform at the Pantages Theater in Minneapolis to kick off their summer tour.

SUBLIME – UNTIL THE SUN EXPLODES
Can Sublime release new music without Bradley Nowell? A new Sublime record, 30 years after the death of their frontman, Nowell, and 30 years since the release of their breakthrough self-titled album, can’t help but bring a complicated mix of legacy and expectation. Until the Sun Explodes leans into that tension and gives the people what they want. It’s a taste of the sun-warmed pavement on a laid-back day in Cali, a blend of ska, punk, and reggae. Taking over the vocals on this final album from the band is Jakob Nowell (Bradley’s son), and it acts as a tribute to his father and as an epilogue to the 1996 album’s legacy.
WEEZER – “WE MIGHT AS WELL BE STRANGERS”
Weezer sounds the most fresh, loose, and modern on a new track collaborating with newer indie band, Wednesday. Somehow, by leaning onto a sloppy, rocking, fuzzier, scrappier sound, they make “We Might As Well Be Strangers,” feel nostalgic. It’s messy, but in the best possible way. If you are digging their sound on this one, there’s more to come with a new album, Weezer (“The Gold Album”), coming out August 21st.
