After teasing some kind of return since October 5th, the Bob Mould-lead trio Sugar has returned!
The band were originally active from 1992-1995 when they released two highly regarded studio albums; 1992’s Copper Blue and 1994’s File Under: Easy Listening, as well as 1993’s Beaster EP. Their singles included the alternative radio earworms “Helpless,”, “If I Can’t Change Your Mind,” “Your Favorite Thing,” and “Believe What You’re Saying” with “Helpless” and “Your Favorite Thing” charting at #5 and #14, respectively, on the Billboard US Alternative Airplay charts.
The band announced their return to action with the release of “House of Dead Memories”; their first new singles in 30 years.
Sugar currently have four 2026 tour dates listed on their website. Two in NYC (May 2 & 3) and two in London (May 23 & 24).
