Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band kicked off their Land of Hope and Dreams tour in Minneapolis on March 31st with a powerful tribute. Alongside guest guitarist Tom Morello, the group performed a loyal rendition of Prince’s classic, “Purple Rain,” in memory of the local icon.
While amateur footage of the moment quickly spread online, the performance has now been given a permanent home through an official video release. Additionally, the band shared a high-quality video of Springsteen’s most recent anthem, “Streets of Minneapolis,” which includes the spoken-word introduction that preceded the song during the show.
