Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ 2010 album, Mojo, is getting a deluxe vinyl reissue next month.
The album will be pressed onto ‘translucent ruby red’ vinyl for a limited-edition release. Mojo was recorded live in the band’s Los Angeles rehearsal space in June 2010.
It will be re-released on Oct. 20th, which would have been Petty’s 73rd birthday. (Pre-order)
Mojo and 1979’s Damn the Torpedoes are tied as Petty’s second highest charting albums, peaking at #2 in the US. His final album, Hypnotic Eye, spent a week at #1 in 2014.
“With this album, I want to show other people what I hear with the band. Mojo is where the band lives when it’s playing for itself.”
