About Tom:
Tom took a commission in the US Marine Corps becoming a logistics officer with the 1st Landing Support Battalion at Camp Pendleton, CA. Tom was later stationed in Okinawa Japan, the 9th Marine Amphibious Brigade.
Later transferred to Camp Lejeune, NC, Tom eventually became HQ Company Commander and deployed to participate in Operation Desert Shield earning three stars on the Southwest Asia Service Medal.
