Version 5 Wins next2rock Local Finale

We want to thank all of the fans, friends and family who came out to Mystic Lake in support of our next2rock local finalists Divide The Fall, Dividing Eden, Fire Fight, Hot Pink Hangover and Version 5. We also want to give a huge shout out to Mystic Lake for sponsoring and hosting this year’s local next2rock competition.

Each band had 15 minutes of performance time and were scored by a panel of judges in six different categories: overall appearance, stage presence, musicianship, originality, song selection and crowd reaction.

All five bands killed it on stage and the crowd was absolutely lovin’ it – but unfortunately the judges could only choose one band to be our local winner and move another step further in the national search for the next big rock band. Congrats to Version 5!

As the winning band of our local finale, Version 5 will also get the opportunity to open for Stone Sour at Palace Theatre on August 26th!

In addition to opening for Stone Sour, Version 5 will be considered for the next2rock Final Round which takes place this October in Los Angeles and is judged by rock industry juggernauts including Scott Borchetta, Jonathan Davis, Chris Jericho and many more. The winning band/artist of the next2rock final round will receive a national recording contract and radio airplay.
