Brian May of Queen’s London Stereoscopic Company is publishing its seventh title on October 30th. Mission Moon 3D – Reliving the Great Space Race, co-written by May, celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing.


AC/DC’s music was used in a study of…noise pollution!


Australia Post (that country’s version of our Post Office) has issued a series of stamps based on AC/DC album covers, with a bit of controversy: three of the stamps feature albums covers from U.S. releases, not the Australian originals.


The Rolling Stones are the #1 rock artists on the Pollstar Worldwide Tour earnings chart for the first half of the year.

Netflix will stream the final night of Bruce Springsteen‘s 236th and final performance of Springsteen On Broadway on December 15th.


Phil Collins will release a four-CD box set called “Plays Well with Others”. It comes out on September 28th, and will cover his entire career in and out of Genesis including collaborations with Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Robert Plant and Peter Gabriel.


Showtime will premiere the Lynyrd Skynyrd documentary “If I Leave Here Tomorrow” on August 18th.


Steve Perry was interviewed July 19th in his hometown of Hanford, California for a segment that will air on CBS Sunday Morning on October 7th.


The very first David Bowie demo was found in a bread basket in a former bandmate’s garage, and will go up for auction on September 11th.


Roger Daltrey’s memoir will be called “Thanks A Lot Mr. Kibblewhite: My Story”, and will be published on October 23rd.


KissGene Simmons is also putting out a book.  His is called “27: The Legend & Mythology Of The 27 Club” and comes out on August 14th. It’s his take on the deaths of Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Rolling Stones founding member Brian Jones…the members of the so-called 27 Club of musicians who died at age 27.


Joe Walsh is putting on his second annual VetsAid concert on November 11th, Veterans Day, in Tacoma, Washington. In addition to Walsh, Don Henley, James Taylor, country superstar Chris Stapleton and rock act Haim are all scheduled to perform.  More here.


Joan Jett has released a trailer for her documentary “Bad Reputation” which will be released in theaters, iTunes, Amazon and in-demand on September 28th.
