On April 6, Legacy Recordings is releasing an album entitled Johnny Cash: Forever Words. The album is a compilation featuring poems written by the country legend and set to music by artists such as The Jayhawks, Elvis Costello, Willie Nelson and more.

Mostly notably, the collection features the first posthumous release from Chris Cornell.

We’re certainly not going to tell you what to do, but we suggest watching Cornell discuss how he came to be involved in the project, and then listening to the single.

As a bonus, just for the hell of it, we’ve also included Cash covering Soundgarden’s “Rusty Cage” for his 1996 Grammy-winning album, Unchained.
